Window repair that actually lasts
Failed seals, foggy glass, broken hardware, and sticking sashes made right, with an honest call on whether repair or replacement is the better value.
Not every window needs replacing. We repair hardware, balances, seals, and glass where it makes sense, and tell you honestly when replacement is the smarter long-term spend.
What a window repair call actually covers
When you call us for window repair, we start by figuring out whether the problem is the glass, the frame, or the hardware, because the fix and the cost are different for each. Common jobs are foggy double-pane glass that lost its seal, cracked or chipped panes, rollers and balances that make a window stick, broken latches and locks, and worn weatherstripping that lets water and air in during storms.
We come out, take measurements, and tell you straight whether a repair makes sense or whether replacement is the smarter call. David and his own crew handle the work, no subcontractors, so the person who quotes the job is the person who does it. Most repairs are done in a single visit. Larger jobs with ordered glass or parts get scheduled once the material comes in.
Repair, replace, and what the code allows
In Broward and Miami-Dade you are in the High-Velocity Hurricane Zone, so any structural change to an opening triggers a permit and a county inspection. A glass, roller, or latch swap on an existing impact window is usually a straight repair. Once you start enlarging or replacing the unit, the new window has to carry a Miami-Dade NOA, and in Palm Beach it needs Florida Product Approval for the wind-borne-debris region. We pull the permits and handle the inspections.
If a window keeps failing or the glass is past repair, replacing it with laminated impact glass is often the better money. New impact units can qualify you for wind-mitigation insurance credits, and they end the repeat service calls. We will give you the honest math on both options before you spend anything.
