What's covered in the plan and what we check
The protection plan keeps your impact windows and doors working the way they did the day we installed them. On each visit we check the laminated glass for chips or cracks, inspect the frames and corners for water intrusion, test every lock and multi-point latch, and clean and lubricate the rollers and hinges so panels glide and seal tight. We tighten loose hardware, clear weep holes so rain drains out instead of pooling in the track, and reset weatherstripping that has flattened over time.
Salt air and hard South Florida sun are rough on hardware, and a sticking door or a failed seal usually starts small. Catching it early on a sloped door, a foggy insulated unit, or a corroded latch is far cheaper than a full replacement later. We service both our own installs and impact units other companies put in, across Broward, Miami-Dade, and Palm Beach.
Keeping your wind-mitigation and warranty paperwork intact
Your impact windows and doors earn you wind-mitigation insurance credits, but only while the product stays intact and to code. If a latch fails or glass gets compromised, that protection slips. Regular service keeps the assembly performing the way it did when it passed inspection, whether you are under the High-Velocity Hurricane Zone rules in Broward and Miami-Dade or Florida Product Approval in Palm Beach's wind-borne-debris region.
Most manufacturers also require that hardware stays maintained for the warranty to hold, and we document each visit so you have a record. When a part does need replacing, we match it to your existing Miami-Dade NOA or Product Approval so nothing about your rating changes.
