Impact glass replacement, Hollywood, FL

Impact glass replacement that keeps your rating

Cracked or damaged impact glass replaced with matched laminated panes, so your window keeps its Miami-Dade NOA rating and your home stays protected.

Gloved hands setting laminated impact glass into a window frame

When impact glass is damaged, the pane can often be replaced without swapping the whole unit. We match the laminated glass to keep the NOA rating valid and your protection intact.

When glass replacement is the right call

Sometimes the impact frame is fine and only the glass has failed. If you see cloudy haze or fogging between the panes, that's a broken seal on the insulated unit, and once moisture gets in, the glass will not clear up. Other times the laminated pane took a hit from debris, a ladder, or a rock from the mower and the inner layer cracked or spidered. In these cases you do not need a whole new window.

We pull the failed laminated unit and set new impact glass into your existing impact frame. That keeps cost down and the job short, usually finished the same day per opening. The new glass still carries the laminated build and a Miami-Dade NOA or Florida Product Approval, so the rating on that opening stays intact. We confirm the frame is square and the structural seal is solid before we ever order the glass.

Keeping your rating and your insurance credit intact

Replacing impact glass is not the same as swapping a regular pane. The laminated unit has to match an approved assembly, so in Broward and Miami-Dade (the High-Velocity Hurricane Zone) we use glass with a current Miami-Dade NOA, and in Palm Beach we use Florida Product Approval for the wind-borne-debris region. If the glass and frame do not match an approved system, the opening loses its rating, and that can cost you a wind-mitigation insurance credit.

We pull the permit, handle the county inspection, and leave you with documentation that ties the new glass to the approved assembly. That paperwork is what your insurer wants to see. We are owner-operated with no subcontracted crews, 12-plus years in, 1,400-plus windows and doors installed, so the person measuring your glass is the person standing behind the rating.
