Feature walls that anchor the room

Wood, slat, tile, and paneled accent walls that give a room a focal point, designed and installed cleanly by a crew that cares about the details.

Accent feature wall going up next to large windows in a South Florida home

A feature wall gives a room character and a clear focal point. We design and install wood, slat, tile, and paneled accent walls with crisp, clean detailing.

What goes into a feature wall that lasts

A feature wall is only as good as the wall behind it, so we start by checking what we are working with. We scan for studs, mark them, and find any plumbing, low-voltage, or electrical runs before a single board goes up. Older Broward and Miami-Dade homes often have block walls or uneven plaster, so we shim and fur out the surface to get a dead-flat plane. Skip that step and slats wave, miters open up, and the whole wall reads cheap.

From there it is real carpentry. We glue and fasten into framing or proper anchors (not just drywall), pre-finish or paint where it makes sense, and keep reveals consistent so the eye sees clean, repeating lines. Outlets and switches get cut in tight and trimmed. Most feature walls wrap in 1 to 3 days, and we tarp floors and furniture and vacuum down every evening so you are not living in dust.

Clean detailing around windows and openings

This is where the impact-window side of our work pays off. The same owner-operated crew, 12-plus years in and 1,400-plus windows and doors installed, knows how to detail a wall around a window, a sliding glass door, or a return without sloppy gaps. We hold consistent margins along the frame, scribe the material to out-of-square openings, and keep the trim line crisp so the wall and the window look like they were planned together.

If you are already thinking about impact glass, this is the time to bundle it. Running a feature wall and a window or door swap on the same trip means one setup, one cleanup, and one finish pass instead of patching twice. We handle the permit and county inspection on the impact work, and a single-panel impact door commonly runs about $2,500 to $4,000 installed if you add one while the crew is on site.
